Shenshi Technology Secures Supporting Contract for Kaiping 11-4 Oilfield Block 18-1 Development Project
Shenshi Technology is proud to announce its latest project milestone: the company has successfully won the equipment supporting contract for the Kaiping 11-4 Oilfield Block 18-1 Development Project in the Eastern South China Sea, in partnership with Shenyang Yuanda Compressor Co., Ltd. Under the contract, Shenshi Technology will supply six sets of Post-Cooler Plate Heat Exchangers (PCHE) for reciprocating compressors, supporting the full-scale construction and stable operation of this deep-water offshore oil and gas project.
Located in the Eastern South China Sea, Kaiping 11-4 Oilfield Block 18-1 operates at a water depth of approximately 330 meters and adopts an advanced subsea production system development model. The project covers the construction and deployment of full-range offshore facilities, including subsea wellheads, gathering and transportation pipelines, and integrated control systems. Targeting the reservoir’s distinctive characteristics of high wax content, high pour point, high CO₂ concentration and high gas-liquid ratio, the project adopts a compact subsea layout combined with wet thermal insulation technology. This tailored solution effectively adapts to harsh deep-water operating conditions and ensures long-term reliable production.
The Kaiping Sag, where the project block is situated, has witnessed breakthrough exploration achievements in recent years. The appraisal well Kaiping 18-1-1 achieved prolific oil and gas flow during well testing. With a total drilling depth of over 4,500 meters, the well recorded a daily oil output exceeding 1,000 tonnes, setting a new domestic production benchmark for offshore Paleogene formations. To date, the Kaiping Sag has accumulated more than 50 million tonnes of newly added proven oil and gas reserves, laying a solid and reliable resource foundation for the sustainable development of local offshore fields.
